AS/400 security
Last week, I was asked by a customer to perform an audit of AS/400 machines. I usually answer that we have no competency in this particular domain. It’s difficult being more closed and proprietary than OS/400, but I performed a Google search, just to be sure that there wasn’t anything new available. And then, great surprise, I found the AS/400 auditing framework.
It still requires OS/400 skills to perform the local audit, but it’s a really great resource. I hope we’ll see more of those guides, especially for closed platforms.
